Concrete slab over metal floor deck bears on steel floor beams and W8x10 cross beams. A minimum W8x10 closure plate and closure plate detail condition frame the floor opening. Cross beams connect using bolted web connections to the supporting steel framing. Clearances and opening dimensions are coordinated with architectural and mechanical disciplines.
