Two cold-formed steel studs are joined back-to-back to form a boxed section connected to a runner track with one-eighth-inch fillet welds at one and a half inches on center typically on each side. The assembly accommodates a typical double stud configuration where required. Fasteners are anchored through the runner track at a maximum spacing of eight inches.
