A Type C chord splice connection joins a deeper chord to a shallower chord. The assembly utilizes outside flange plates and inside flange plates along the top and bottom flanges, secured with through-bolts spaced at typical intervals of five inches. A web plate is centered between the inside flange plates with bolt rows configured per the engineering schedule. Dimensions indicate edge distances of two inches and a four-inch on-center vertical spacing at the web connection.
