A hollow structural section column is welded to a base plate with a five-sixteenths inch fillet weld typical all around. Four anchor bolts are positioned at the corners of the base plate with one and one-half inch edge clearances typical. Anchor bolt sizes and the column and base plate dimensions are sized per plan.
