A post-tensioned concrete slab stressing blockout is detailed in plan and section views. The blockout incorporates stressing pockets with strand tails, four additional number four reinforcing bars, and three-inch by one-half-inch typical shear keys along the joint. Grommets are specified when exposed to weathering or moisture, along with sealing of stressing pockets and caulking all around. The blockout is filled with non-shrink concrete matching the minimum strength of the slab, and interrupted reinforcing bars continue through the blockout.
