Deck support angles are supplied by the structural steel contractor for wide flange, hollow structural section, or boxed columns. A typical L3x3x3/16 angle connects with a sixteen-gauge closure plate, set with a typical three-inch clearance. Notes specify the division of responsibility for supplying the deck support angles.
