A structural steel column is encased in circular concrete with a diameter sized per plan. Eight number 4 vertical reinforcing bars are provided with required laps and hooked into the slab on steel deck. Number 3 ties are spaced at 12 inches on center around the perimeter. Vertical reinforcing laps are 1 foot 6 inches and staggered.
