An existing single angle compression member is reinforced with a C3x3.5 channel, specified withFy = 36 ksi minimum, welded with 1/8 inch at 12 inches and 2 inches at each end on both ends. An existing single angle tension member is reinforced with double angles 2L's-1 1/2 x 1 1/2 x 1/4 withFy = 36 ksi. A clip angle is included if top chord or bottom chord reinforcement exists, utilizing 3/16 inch welds.
