A steel beam frames into a steel column using a bolted shear tab connection, with a metal roof deck bearing across the top flange. Six bolts secure the beam web to the shear tab, and additional bolted connections fasten the assembly to the steel column. A three-sixteenths inch fillet weld with a two to twelve spacing is indicated at the top connection assembly.
