An HSS 6x4 elevator separator beam frames into a structural steel member with an L8x6x1/2 angle section cut to fit. A three-inch minimum length connection is welded with a quarter-inch fillet weld from the hollow structural section to the angle. The angle is secured to the supporting steel member using three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. Clearances of two inches minimum are maintained unless otherwise noted.
