Vertical studs connect to a bottom track, which fastens into a sixteenth-gauge deep-leg slip track with two number ten sheet metal screws at twelve inches on center. A one-half-inch deflection gap remains between the top of the stud and the top of the slip track web. The slip track attaches to the overhead structure per slip track detail nine on sheet S eight point zero. Vertical stud size and spacing follow the structural schedule.
