A column is secured to an existing concrete footing via a base plate and four three-quarters-inch-diameter threaded rod epoxy anchors. The anchors are drilled and epoxied with a twelve-inch embedment into the existing footing, utilizing leveling nuts as required. A two-inch maximum non-shrink grout pack is placed beneath the base plate, set within a chipped block-out while avoiding damage to existing reinforcing steel. The column is welded to the base plate with a three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld.
