A drift track assembly connects a steel stud wall to a wide flange structural steel beam, allowing for relative movement between the structure and the partition. The drift track mechanism is fastened to the web of the wide flange beam sized per plan and anchors into the vertical steel stud framing. The maximum distance from the structural member to the stud face is dimensioned at one foot six inches.
