A structural concrete slab is cast over an expanded polystyrene fill resting on a base structural slab. Reinforcement for the slab is provided per the designated slab on polystyrene schedule. The edge of the slab maintains a two-foot clearance dimension from the adjacent concrete structure. Dowel or tie reinforcement extends horizontally toward the adjacent structure.
