A stepped concrete wall footing with specific reinforcing requirements includes upper and lower footing tiers featuring a three-inch typical concrete clearance to the reinforcement. Longitudinal bars run continuously through the steps, with transverse bars following the topmost and bottommost layers. Upper top bars hook at the step transition, while lower top bars extend into the thickener zone by a minimum of the full available width or required lap length. Two number four by three-foot trim bars are provided on each side of the wall at two layers of reinforcement.
