A wide-flange beam connects to a wide-flange column using top and bottom flange connection plates secured with three bolts at each flange. A continuous vertical plate runs through the column web aligned with the connection, supported by horizontal stiffener plates inside the column profile. Welds secure the internal stiffeners to the column web and flanges. The connection transfers moment forces from the beam through the flange plates directly into the stiffened column assembly.
