Wide-flange steel beams frame into a vertical wide-flange steel column using bolted flange connection plates and structural tee components. Reinforcing plates are welded to the beam flanges with fillet welds sized according to the accompanying reinforcing plate schedule, which specifies sizes for various beam sections from W21x44 to W33x141. A diagonal steel brace connects to the lower portion of the column and beam assembly per structural sheet 18/S6.2. Bolted connections utilize high-strength structural bolts at the beam flanges and bracing gussets.
