Concrete beam intersection and corner details show the placement of top and bottom reinforcing steel with mandatory development lengths and hooks. Beam bars extend with a one-foot six-inch minimum embedment and feature ninety-degree hooks at intersections and corners. Number five dowels are provided as shown for top and bottom steel reinforcement. Alternatively, dowels may be omitted provided beam bars are bent one foot six inches minimum.
