A beam-to-column web connection features different beam depths across the column web centerline. Beams connect via bolted shear tabs where the shear tab thickness equals the beam web thickness plus one quarter inch. Top and bottom continuity plates are aligned with the beam flanges, with specific clearances and edge distances complying with AISC specifications. A second row of bolts is included as required per structural plans. Continuity plates are omitted on one side if the dimension is less than three inches.
