An angle brace connects to an HSS column and a wide-flange beam through a three-eighths-inch thick gusset plate. The wide-flange beam frames into the column with a bolted shear tab connection containing three bolts. A work point is established at the intersection of the framing centerlines. Five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds secure the gusset plate to the structural members.
