A hollow structural section column supports a continuous beam sized per plan, with steel decking bearing across the assembly. A continuous two-inch by two-inch by three-sixteenth-inch angle or bent plate ties into a channel per plan alongside the column. A one-eighth-inch weld is specified with a two-to-twelve spacing, alongside a one-quarter-inch fillet weld at the lower connection interface. Field welding flags indicate field-welded conditions for the structural steel components.
