A six-inch normal weight concrete mechanical pad is reinforced with number five bars at twelve inches center-to-center each way with standard hooks at each end. Three-quarter-inch diameter by nine-inch welded head studs are spaced at twelve inches center-to-center typically at the concrete edge or rib on wide flange beams. Two additional typical bars span to the curb and edges where the unit edge or anchor does not align with the curb. Insulation is provided by others. Additional support beams are added as required.
