An I-joist bears on a continuous two-by structural composite lumber rim joist, positioned atop a double top plate wood stud wall. The I-joist attaches to the rim joist with a minimum of two 12d nails at the bearing. A web stiffener is installed at the I-joist end per manufacturer requirements. The rim joist fastens to the double top plate, with connection details referenced to sheet S600. The double top plate laps according to details on sheet S601. Diaphragm sheathing nails to the rim joist and I-joist assembly per manufacturer specifications, with edge nailing and rim nailing requirements noted.
