A non-frame structural steel column bears on a base plate set over three inches of non-shrink grout atop a concrete footing or pilaster. Anchor bolts sized per schedule secure the base plate using double nuts and hardened washers, paired with one-half by four inch square plate washers embedded near the bottom of the footing. A four-inch grout hole is provided on the base plate matching the anchor bolt hole size. The concrete footing incorporates number four ties at six inches on center with a minimum of three ties at the footing.
