A painted metal guardrail assembly mounts to the concrete-filled metal pan stair landing and structural steel framing. The guardrail consists of a 1-1/2 inch diameter top rail, painted metal posts, vertical balusters spaced at 4 inches on center, and a painted metal bottom rail with a 3-inch clearance above the landing. A separate painted metal handrail features a 12-inch extension beyond the landing. The stair structure utilizes concrete-filled metal pan treads and risers supported by painted steel stringers adjacent to a rated wall assembly.
