A structural steel connection detail showing a beam or truss joist framing into a truss girder as sized per plan. A three-quarter-inch by five-inch wide plate is welded to each side of the beam web typically using five-sixteenths-inch fillet welds. A half-inch by eight-inch by twenty-four-inch plate is provided at grid line twenty-three A with a five-sixteenths-inch fillet weld. A cross-section X-X details the beam web plate configuration with a three-inch dimension.
