Four installation conditions apply for pipes passing perpendicular to grade beams or footings. Each condition details the pipe passing through a sleeve with an inner diameter two inches larger than the pipe outer diameter or bell outer diameter, with the annular void sealed using an elastic waterproof material. The pipe penetration is reinforced with number four stirrups on each side, along with two number five by six-foot side bars at each face depending on the specific alignment relative to the bottom rebar. Additional requirements include two inches of clearance typical, twelve inches minimum clearance, and backfill placed at the pipe per the soil report.
