A reinforced concrete equipment pad rests atop a structural slab using number four dowels spaced at twelve inches on center at the curbs. The interior of the pad utilizes styrofoam fill with a minimum compressive strength equal to twenty pounds per square inch. Number four reinforcing bars are placed at twelve inches on center each way and centered in the slab typically. The structural slab includes framing and embedment sized per plans and the slab schedule, with curb dimensions varying according to mechanical requirements.
