A steel joist bottom chord brace connects to a steel girder with a three-sixteenths inch weld typically provided by the joist supplier. The steel joist supports a metal roof deck and frames adjacent to a steel beam with a one-half inch gap. A steel beam haunch is detailed per detail 4 on sheet S703, utilizing quarter-inch fillet welds at two-inch intervals typically. A steel girder supports the vertical framing with associated bottom chord bracing at the mid-span of the girder.
