Embedded structural steel chord ties connect adjacent concrete panels at the roof level using low-hydrogen welds sized per schedule. A blockout formed with styrofoam accommodates the weld zone and receives an epoxy grout patch after welding is complete. Welded wire reinforcement of 4x4-W2.1xW2.1 WWF is detailed above the roof only, with double connections provided where noted on panel elevations. If the parapet height falls below dimension L, a chord tie must be positioned below the ledger.
