An elevator guide rail support hollow structural section column connects to the underside of a steel beam using an L6x4x5/16 angle measuring zero feet five inches on each side. The connection incorporates a three-quarter-inch through bolt installed within a two-inch vertical slotted hole with a double nut for vertical adjustment. An L3x3x1/4 brace connects to the steel beam with its end connection detailed separately on sheet S702. The steel beam attaches to the metal deck above per general structural notes.
