A lateral brace secures a sprinkler main pipe suspended below a concrete slab. The assembly is anchored directly to the overhead concrete slab using a concrete anchor bolted to a pivoting bracket. A rigid brace member connects the overhead bracket to a wrap-around clamp assembly supporting the sprinkler main pipe.
