Concrete walls require specific reinforcing bar layouts designated as Type A, Type B, and Type C based on wall thickness and structural loading. Type A features vertical and horizontal reinforcing bars on both the inside and outside faces. Type B utilizes vertical bars on the inside face combined with vertical and horizontal bars on the outside face. Type C provides a single curtain of vertical and horizontal bars centered within the wall thickness. All horizontal and vertical reinforcing bars are spliced using a Class B tension splice.
