A composite metal deck slab bears perpendicularly across a structural steel beam, with added reinforcement detailed per deck reinforcing plans and offset from columns for continuous bars. A standard twenty-gauge end closure and a twelve-gauge edge form spanning four inches with a one-inch clearance terminate the slab edge. Continuous number three reinforcing bars with standard hooks provide edge detailing, supplemented by number three bars spaced at twelve inches on center.
