A heavy concrete wall panel connects to a reinforced concrete footing via an embedded steel base plate assembly and vertical dowels. Five number nine by eight foot long vertical bars each side extend upward into the wall panel with two and one-half inches of grout beneath the plate. The connection utilizes a one-inch by twenty-two-inch by two-foot-two-inch base plate with sixteen number seven dowels extending down one foot nine inches minimum into the footing with three inches of clearance. Additional side plates measuring three-quarters of an inch by eight inches by two feet zero inches and one-half inch by ten inches by two-foot-four-inch attach to each side with fillet welds specified at three-eighths and five-sixteenths inch sizes. The footing includes number three stirrups at twelve inches on center, two number six continuous bars totaling four bars, and variable footing depth per plan where required to achieve adequate cover for dowels.
