An interior stair stringer connection uses an L3x3x5/16 angle, two-feet-zero-inches long, centered between the interior stair stringer to support the landing. The structural assembly ties into an HSS10x6 hollow structural section member, with a one-quarter-inch thick cap plate installed at each end. An additional HSS member is positioned between the interior stringers for handrail attachment, aligned flush with the top of the stringers. Five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds secure the stringer and angle connections at the top and bottom.
