A roof tie-down anchor is mounted to a hollow structural section of size 6x4x0.250 positioned between open web steel joists using an inverted angle member measuring L6x6x3/8 by 3 feet long. Alternatively, the assembly connects at a structural steel beam reinforced with one-quarter inch by six-inch stiffener plates on each side. The anchor has a safe working load of 2,000 pounds and an ultimate load of 5,000 pounds, with locations coordinated per architectural drawings.
