A vertical hollow structural section hanger and a diagonal angle brace tie back to an overhead roof beam in the overhead signage support assembly. The 6-inch hollow structural section hanger supports a lower channel member per plan, with a working point established 6 inches above the channel flange. A diagonal support member connects via a 3/8-inch thick gusset plate measuring 8 1/2 inches high by 7 1/2 inches wide at both ends. Connections utilize bolted connections at the gusset plates with typical edge clearances and spacing dimensions noted. The upper connection ties into a center-of-gravity angle welded or bolted to the underside of the structural roof beam. Additional information is referenced on sheet 7, detail S5.503.
