Five-inch and six-inch slabs on grade supported over subbase material feature a construction joint utilizing either five-eighths-inch diameter by eighteen-inch slip dowels spaced at eighteen inches on center, four-and-a-half by four-and-a-half-inch diamond dowels spaced at twenty-four inches on center, or an approved equal preformed T quick joint. The concrete edges on each side of the joint are finished with a one-eighth-inch radius, using a tooled edge or sawcut.
