A universal column connects to a universal column beam via a twenty-millimeter end plate. The end plate is full penetration butt welded to the beam flanges and fillet welded to the webs. Four M24 Grade 8.8 tensioned bolts fasten the end plate assembly to the column. Sixteen-millimeter stiffeners are welded to the column with fillet welds.
