A pipe or conduit penetrates a concrete slab at a thickened section featuring a sloped haunch over firm undisturbed soil or compacted fill. The concrete slab maintains its typical thickness and reinforcing as specified on plan, with additional clearance dimensions around the penetration. A minimum six-inch depth of compacted fill or undisturbed soil supports the thickened slab profile beneath the sleeve.
