New and existing elements of the concrete grade beam connection are keyed together. Four number ten epoxy dowels are placed top and bottom on each side across the joint. The interface features a roughened surface prepared per sheet S503. Long top bars run continuously through the new grade beam intersecting the existing grade beam beyond.
