A reinforced concrete stem wall bears on a continuous concrete footing measuring three feet six inches wide with four number six continuous bottom bars and number five stirrups at twelve inches on center. Vertical dowels match the vertical reinforcing typically, extending into the footing and stem wall with a continuous two-inch by four-inch shear key at the cold joint. The concrete slab on grade ties into both sides of the stem wall with slab reinforcing dowels matching the slab reinforcing typically. Waterproofing is applied to the exterior face of the stem wall per architectural drawings, and a water stop is provided as required.
