An HSS hanger suspends from a structural steel beam sized per plan, utilizing a WT7x17 hanger bracket welded to the underside of the beam. The beam web is reinforced with three-eighth-inch full-height stiffener plates on each side, aligned with the hanger assembly. A quarter-inch fillet weld secures both sides of the WT shape to the supporting structure. A three-eighth-inch base plate caps the bottom of the HSS hanger, while a shear tab sized per schedule connects to the side of the HSS section with a quarter-inch fillet weld.
