A typical end connection for a steel core and casing assembly. A lug plate connects to the steel core and extends through a casing cap at each end of the casing. A gusset plate with characteristic edge dimensions and bolt spacings ties into the lug plate. Fillet welds are specified along the lug plate and gusset plate connections.
