An angle brace connects to a structural plate secured underneath a concrete slab on metal deck. The assembly features a 1/4-inch by 15-inch by 1 foot 3-inch plate fastened into the deck flute with four 3/4-inch diameter expansion anchors having a 3 1/4-inch embedment at 12 inches on center. A 6x4x3/8-inch by 1-foot-long angle connects the brace to the plate with 3/16-inch fillet welds on both sides. A waterproofing sealant or barrier is maintained between the anchors.
