A wide flange beam connects to a wide flange column using continuity plates at the top and bottom flanges and a bolted shear plate at the web. Continuity plates are specified typically at the top and bottom per sheet 8/S6.1. The web connection utilizes standard holes in the wide flange web and slotted bolt holes in the shear plate per sheet 5/S6.1. A metal deck with concrete fill is located above per plan. Field connections follow the opposite hand configuration option where indicated.
