The concrete slab on grade edge bears on undisturbed soil with an under slab preparation layer. Reinforcing steel consists of number four bars spaced at sixteen inches on center alongside continuous number five reinforcing bars within the thickened footing stem. Finish grade sits adjacent to the exterior vertical face of the thickened edge, maintaining a minimum footing depth of one foot six inches below grade.
