This structural steel connection joins aligned hollow structural section members using a half-inch thick plate and three seven-eighths-inch diameter ASTM A325 galvanized bolts. A one-quarter-inch plate on each side and a one-inch thick cap plate complete the joint assembly. The components are secured with typical partial joint penetration welds unless noted otherwise, featuring five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds where specified. Bolt spacing is detailed with two-inch increments between fasteners and one-inch edge distances.
