A structural steel frame column connects to a foundation base plate with a buckling-restrained brace gusset plate provided by the brace supplier. The base plate assembly requires a minimum of six anchor bolts equipped with square plate washers per the schedule, with additional anchor bolts provided as required to maintain maximum bolt spacing based on the required gusset length. Bolt spacing adheres to a four-diameter minimum and five-diameter maximum. Welds include a complete joint penetration weld with backing bar at designated locations and a five-sixteenths inch fillet weld on four sides typically.
